The government has been in parliament for less than a year, yet already abuse of the system has occurred. David Cameron already has been under fire for his huge mortgage payments under the expenses system.
MPs have been intimidating staff at the Independant Parliamentary Standards Authority. The IPSA is responsible for investigation of the parliament specifically into Parliamentary Expenses. To the disgust of MPs, to claim on expenses like anyone else they must hand in a receipt of purchase so no longer can they claim £30,000 on a toilet seat. Equally, refurbishment of their homes are not an acceptable.
A backbencher charged in with three brutes to complain about the investigations into expenses. If anyone knows why a backbench MP requires 3 supporters other than to help him walk for being so fat on the corporate lunches.
