The condom has arguably been around since the ancient times in some size shape or form. In its more “modern” form it has been in use since the 1800’s in classic rubber variety. Schools around the world teach that the use of the magic barrier can prevent sexually transmitted infections most commonly associated with HIV/Aids. As a side effect it also prevents accidental “mini-me’s” showing up months later so all round its a great tool.
It sucks then that Catholics officially were not allowed to use this simple but super invention. The Vatican has had an absolute ban on the use of contraceptives for decades. The policy which means that they would rather see the world fill of accidental children and generations wiped out due to sexual disease.
The news should come as welcome and is expected to be officially published in a book of a face to face interview with the pope next week. Naturally of course, the Vatican managed to twist it into a barbaric twisted view of the positive.

The official view will become that if you are using the condom to prevent disease and death then its quite positively acceptable as it has moral superiorness at its heart. But if your using it for one night stands and out of marriage sex purposes, well, your still going straight to hell!
The political ‘U-turn’ could have been a result of seeing huge political outcry against his 2009 remarks in an official visit to Africa stating that the use of Condoms would : “condoms would not resolve the Aids problem there[Africa] but, on the contrary, increase it.” Of course it wont resolve, but It would reduce significantly the problem and that at least is worth fighting for.
